We all know about Yahoo Answers, right? And many among us must have asked questions and provided answers there, but how many have done so to get traffic? Not many I presume. Anyway, from now onward, you should take it as a traffic generation tool as well. You will not get any backlink for PageRank purpose from this source as the links from Yahoo Answers are “no follow” links, nevertheless, you will see people following the link to your website, and this is what should concern you at this point. The process is quite simple, yet I have broken it down into some easy-to-follow steps.
It is unlikely that you do not have a yahoo account, but if you do not have one then get one. You will need a yahoo account to participate in Yahoo answers.
Search for generic questions like, what color is the sky; when should I sleep, etc. Believe me, there is no shortage of stupid questions on Yahoo answers. Find 20 such questions and give your answers.
Now, take a break for at least 2 days before returning back to your Yahoo Answers account.
It is time now to do some serious answering. Find relevant questions and provide wise answers to those questions
Now it is time to add links to the post, but before you insert your link in the post, you should insert links to some authority site like Wikipedia, Encyclopedia Britannica, or any other university site.
At this stage, add your link midst the authority links that you have posted. Never post just your link. If you add only your link than someone may complain about you and your profile may get banned by Yahoo.
That’s it. You are done. Now repeat this process and seed link one more time. You should use yahoo answers regularly for the purpose described above.

Was this be able to give back link to our site ? It is no follow URL , how could i get back link ?
Thanks! The great thing about your article is that I understood everything perfectly since I answer questions on Yahoo! Answers FREQUENTLY. I’m a “Top Contributor” as a matter of fact. It kind of sucks that it can’t be used as a source of backlinks because my page ranks 8/10 as compared to others I saw at 1/10. I answered hundreds of questions and maintain approx. a 50% Best Answer rating. This was before ever thinking about making my own pages and lenses.
I just wanted to contribute to others. Maybe it will help that I did that successfully without adding links before – maybe it’ll be good for my reputation. Here’s hoping. Anyway, thanks for the good information. It’s so true that people will report you and get your question deleted and you reprimanded if seem spammy or abusive (to the rules). I’m definitely going to take your advice because I’m just starting out and I don’t have a personal website. I just need to start somewhere and build from there. Thanks again!

That’s just my Yahoo! Answers info – it doesn’t link to anything of serious significance lol just thought I’d share it. Thanks so much again!
Wow. I didn’t know that the links on yahoo answers were no follow. I spent a lot of time there trying to backlink for my site. Guess it is still relevant for traffic though. Thanks for the info
